The Renewed Archaeological Excavations at Lachish
Ussishkin, David. The Renewed Archaeological Excavations at Lachish (1973-1994). Tel Aviv: Tel Aviv University, 2004.
Why this matters here
Ussishkin's archaeological excavation account documents the material remains at Lachish. The chapter cites that modern excavation record separately from Assyrian texts and Layard's earlier field descriptions.
